The Kelly Estate is a showcase of Schommer & Sons craftsmanship. Located in remote Corbett on an unimproved building site, this rustic "lodge-like" home moved its owners from a make-shift barn to a home that fits their every need. Use of Northwest building materials fit the grandeur of the house's surroundings.

Recycled timber provided 11-inch fir plank flooring with an in-floor hot water heating system. Custom painted cabinets accent the ceramic tile and stone finishes. The home includes computer controlled lighting, vaulted ceilings, an outdoor kitchen and is surrounded by an exposed aggregate concrete deck. The home is virtually set for exposure to the elements with a mixture of large glass windows and wood which seem to invite the Northwest right into the living space. The large swimming pool adds to the private lodge-like look and feel.

The long drive up to the house is made with RESINPAVE™ and locally produced aggregate. The drive will retain its strength, durability and good looks through the tough Columbia River Gorge winters.
