Schommer & Sons has been involved with telephone switch-room facility construction since the mid-1970s. Wireless communications have become a significant force in the telecommunications industry, and we have constructed more than 250 cellular telephone transmission sites over the past 7 years.

In 1999, Schommer & Sons constructed 25 site-built Equipment Buildings and Regenera-tion sites comprising more than 66,000 square feet of space. The buildings were part of a 1,000-mile fiberoptic line build in the Utah, Wyoming and Colorado area. Each building was site constructed. The entire project was completed in less than 8 months. Schommer's responsibilities included

• Constructing the complete building.
• Coordinating delivery of owner-purchased equipment.
• Connecting buildings to local utilities.
