Schommer & Sons is a full-service general contractor and construction management firm that has operated in the Northwest since 1937. The company specializes in custom projects of all types, with particular emphasis on complex buildings, difficult schedules and sites and innovative technologies. Schommer & Sons has thrived by targeting technically challenging projects, as well as projects where logistical constraints necessitate a high degree of service. Schommer & Sons has expanded its breadth and depth of services offered over the last decade by undertaking sustainable building materials and practices. We are the exclusive distributors and installers of several ecologically friendly products and technologies.

History
Schommer and Sons was established in 1937 by Andy Schommer and specialized in residential new construction and remodeling.
In 1960 the company expanded into commercial and industrial construction. For over thirty years Schommers have been constructing office buildings, residences, hospitals, hotels, schools, churches, warehouses, and large municipal projects, such as water and waste treatment facilities.
Our craftsmanship and quality are also apparent in our small project experience. From residential remodels and new construction, to tenant improvements and warehouse additions, we can do it all.
Today the company is operated by Andy Schommer's three sons, Craig, Steve and Bob. We continue to uphold the reputation, earned by our father, of high quality, honesty and the promise of a Schommer on every job.
Our reputation has given us a long list of satisfied customers. Having a Schommer in charge of a project, puts our personal reputation on the line. We'll do whatever it takes to get the job done on time, on budget and with the highest level of craftsmanship possible.
In 1989, A. C. Schommer and Sons was awarded the distinctive "Contractor of the Year" award by The Oregon Building Congress. This award is given to contractors who "have over a period of years maintained a high standard of construction practices and building ethics".
We have a wide variety of construction experience in new construction and in design/build and negotiated contracts.
