Andy Schommer
The Company, founded in 1937 by A.C. Schommer, is currently owned and operated by his sons Bob, Craig and Steve.

Schommer & Sons has thrived by targeting technically challenging projects, as well as projects where logistical constraints necessitate a high-degree of service. As a client-driven, service-oriented contractor, Schommer & Sons delight in aiding our customers on projects of any size.

Controls
Schommer & Sons is just as interested as you are in completing a project on time and on budget. We employ many project and cost controls to meet these common objectives. Schommer & Sons employs state-of-the-art management and communication tools and systems to guide and control our clients' projects. The company has made sizeable investments in technology, and is fully computerized.
  • Cost Controls - Job costs are posted weekly and available for comparison against the budget. This allows immediate adjustments to resources and timelines to be made to work within the confines of the construction budget. Schommer & Sons has always had an "open books" policy. Owners are welcome to review project accounts.
  • Communication - Poor communication is costly. To avoid miscommunications that result in added construction costs, Schommer & Sons uses Primavera Expedition and Timberline Construction Software. This software allows project managers to keep track of commitments, status and timeframes easily. Who needs to do what, by when is constantly reviewed.
  • Scheduling - Keeping a project on schedule eliminates costly time overruns. The use of Primavera SureTrak allows Schommer & Sons to integrate the construction schedule with all other deadlines and responsibilities allowing project personnel to see the big picture and all the details.
